Aircraft Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Coast
A chopper soaring near a crowded coastal shoreline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Footage uploaded online depict the helicopter commencing to spiral near the shoreline then falling in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palms and a steps close to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
