Two Men Formally Indicted with Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
